Mixed?

Exhibition in the Green Room, The Carlton Club, Whalley Range, Manchester

Opening event 3rd September

As well as artwork created in last year's workshops, there were testimonies and poetry given by some of the amazing people who took part. It was a passionate, wholehearted, and gorgeous evening. (I was so buzzing afterwards, I had to have a mini kitchen disco when I got home)

Thanks go to:

  • @mcrmuseum for hosting the workshopsto Chloe Cousins for the collaboration

  • Owen Mills for curating the show

  • @carltonclubmcr for hosting the exhibition

  • everyone who got well and truly stuck into all our conversations and connections as well as artwork we made

Echoes of the Line - Episode 3 at The Mixed Museum

It's Always But What About the Railways.jpg

This collage is called

It's Always, But What About the Railways?

I'm delighted that it's featured in Episode 3 of
The Mixed Museum's brilliant online audio series, 'Echoes of the Line' which looks at the history of Britain's railways. Listen here

The collage's title references something that can be said back to us when we mention colonial exploitation. As if the railways weren't built for extraction of resources and moving troops, but for the benefit of colonised people.
